Who we are

At The Peel Project, we are dedicated to enriching and supporting the local community of Hull.

The Peel Project is a pioneering community and youth organisation in Hull, led by individuals with lived experiences from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Founded in 2020, we offer year-round, free-to-access grassroots activities, educational workshops, and events.

Our Mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment where every individual feels valued and empowered.

Our Vision is to promote and celebrate meaningful inclusion of people from black and minority ethnic communities in all aspects of civic life within the City of Hull.

With a special focus on Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnicities (BAME), we aim to improve lives and build communities.

We are driven by our five core social outcomes:

  • Crime and anti-social behaviour reduction
  • Sports participation
  • Fostering community involvement
  • Improving health and wellbeing
  • Enhancing education and employability

The team is welcoming and they constantly inspire me to seek ways to help and become more deeply involved in my community. I find it truly fulfilling."
